National Second Amendment Sanctuary Map Updated March 1, 2021

This map is getting a good deal of traffic, but it is not the most recent map. To find the most up to date National Second Amendment Sanctuary map, please visit our National Maps category page: http://sanctuarycounties.com/category/map-updates/national-maps/

As politicians attempt to use tragedies to take rights away from law-abiding citizens, more than 37% of U.S. counties have been declared Second Amendment Sanctuaries. The 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Movement has kicked into high gear since the election and shows no signs of slowing down. If your county is not yet a Second Amendment Sanctuary, you should ask your county leadership why that is the case. If you would like to know how to get this started in your county, you should read our article, “How to become a Sanctuary County,” or email us at contact@sanctuarycounties.com.

This is our largest Second Amendment State and National Map update ever. Not due to the number of counties being added, but rather because of the amount of information we are giving you. In this update, you will be able to find the newest National 2A Sanctuary Map, as well as links to every one of our newest 2nd Amendment Sanctuary State Maps. Putting all of this together has been a major undertaking, as we first had to create maps for every state that has at least one Second Amendment Sanctuary.

In addition, we have created this Second Amendment Sanctuary Spreadsheet for you, which has links to every Second Amendment Sanctuary Article that we have published on our website. We will be updating this spreadsheet going forward and may eventually incorporate it directly into the website, but for now you can view it by clicking the link above.

New Counties & New Website

We actually added approximately 19 new counties to the map. Please keep in mind that all data for this round of maps was pulled on March 1, 2021. There have been a large number of new counties that have passed Second Amendment Sanctuaries since then. We will be including them in future map updates. However, if you would like to keep up to date with all the latest Sanctuary County News as it happens, please Check out our new website: ConstitutionalSanctuaries.com.

On this website, we are sharing links to news articles across the web that pertain to Second Amendment Sanctuaries, Constitutional Sanctuaries, and a surprising amount of other types of Constitutional Sanctuaries. Most people are unaware of the fact that the Second Amendment Sanctuary concept is now being applied to other issues of importance to conservatives. For instance, there are now 23 Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn (i.e. Pro-Life Sanctuaries) in Texas. Also, Rio Blanco County, Colorado just became the first “Wolf Reintroduction Sanctuary County,” after passing a resolution opposing the artificial introduction of wolves in rural areas. There are also business sanctuaries, health mandate sanctuaries, sanctuaries for people of faith and more.

Sponsor Our Maps!

Creating these maps requires a tremendous amount of work. Until recently, the only way that this site generated any income to pay for hosting, domain names, graphic design assets, web development, software, etc was through running ads. However, online advertising services can cut you off without warning (which they have done to us a few times now), so we are trying to find alternative methods to fund the site. If you would like to help us keep the website online while also getting a shout-out here on the national map (our most popular article, by far) then please consider joining our Patreon at the $100 level or higher. If you have a business, send us a link and we will link to your business as well. You can sponsor a state map by joining at the $50 or higher level. If those amounts are too high, but you still want to help us out, please feel free to join at whatever level you are comfortable with. We truly appreciate any contributions. Thank you so much for your support!

New National Map

National Second Amendment Sanctuary Map Updated March 1, 2021

Our map is actually tracking 3,144 counties and county-equivalents across the United States. As of March 1, 2021 the total number of Second Amendment Sanctuaries in the United States was 1,188. There are even more of them now. This means that more than 37.79% of the counties in the United States are Second Amendment Sanctuaries. We include counties that pass resolutions supporting the Constitution or the Bill of Rights in this number. Additionally, we include all counties regardless of whether they pass a resolution, ordinance, preservation act, or some other form of declaration. Finally, we include counties even if they do not use the word “sanctuary” since some members of county leadership prefer not to use that term.

If you would like to use any of our maps on your websites / videos / news broadcasts, you may do so free of charge. We actually encourage you to share our maps with your followers / viewers. However, all we ask is that you do not remove our logo from any of our maps when using them and that you link to our homepage (http://sanctuarycounties.com/) if you use the maps. Thank you!

To keep page load speeds fast, we try to use high quality, but low file size graphics on each article. Thus, we don’t typically place our higher resolution maps in the articles themselves. If you would like to see a slightly higher resolution version of the Second Amendment Sanctuary National Map, click here. We also create much higher resolution maps for the media to utilize if they need them. To access our High-Resolution Second Amendment Sanctuary State Maps and National Map, click here.
